Oh girl, I keep knocking at your door
You only say that you feel unsure
And let me turn from sweet to sour
In a motionless state where the world keeps spinning round without me
Why d’you stand scratching at her door? She won’t give you no more
Frustration and pain are the consequences of your love in vain
Choose your pride over prayers, stop thinking about her
Quit despair for a better drug
There’s no addiction to expectation
Look at you boy, your black suit’s too tight
For many months, you slept with the night
Open yourself to the unknown
Years with the same habits have made a caricature of your own
I tried to find this other side where we would shine on
As time goes by and by I hear how crazy it sounds
I leave prayers for my pride

You were not anywhere
Never here nor mentally there
We could not help wondering
Was our story about to end
And then a stone within your chest
Threw all our thoughts down to waste
Deep inside we found that we have not been always around
Let’s try to forget and look to the sun without regret
Will you please come back home?
You should never have walked alone
Sides by sides we'll get along
As the future lasts for long
Kill this stone inside your chest
Throw your pain all down to waste
You are so young, please let us stay a little more around
There’ll be no regret, we know who we are and ’ll never forget

Winter

I thought we were a granite peak with endless trails to pace
Withstanding headwinds and the storm, still for many years
Well I missed the narrow clefts, they broadened into rifts
Snow was whiter than ever but unstable beneath
Suddenly, suddenly you went cold as an avalanche
You broke, and we fell down, I fail to climb back in
What should I have done? Leave you free, be gone?
Help me understand: it’s worse to stay ignorant than alone
The roar, the rumble, the rush overwhelmed our landscapes
Then a deafening silence, my lungs are filled with pain
Flabbergasted, petrified, on a ridge without anchorage
There is a gulch below and I only see your face
I should have drained your tears like the sun dries the rain
Now as the abyss calls, tell me my darlin’
